This was a place where I stood in absolute amazement! I felt so small standing here looking out as far as my eyes would allow. This is the Spider Rock Overlook located in Canyon de Chelly National Park in Arizona within the boundaries of the Navajo Nation. It is one of the places Tom and I visited on our road trip earlier this month with some close friends. Site seeing here was like going back in time. We spent only a day seeing just a small amount of this location so I’d like to go back and spend several days exploring this incredible place.
The weather was perfect so May seems to be a great time to go. While we were there we saw that there are offerings of several different tours, including hiking, in 4-wheel drives and on horses. If you plan on visiting, I highly recommend spending at least a couple days here. There are some areas that have paths and easy walking which is nice to know. Anyone visiting can enjoy this view and appreciate its history and beauty. Lots of ancient ruins and geological structures to view. It is a place that I will never forget.
